Rolando Lumban

With over 25 years of combined experience in auditing, manufacturing and certification, Rolando has an extensive quality background. Under his leadership he assisted companies in achieving cost reductions, increased productivity and other improvements though lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma methodology and Quality Management System implementation.

ISO/Quality Management Systems

Rolando began his career with Dowty O-Rings North America as Quality Manager where he was responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the QS 9000 QMS.  In addition, he coordinated new and continuous improvement projects and his sector received awards from Ford and General Motors. Rolando was promoted to Quality Director for Dowty and was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the QMS at the corporate level for all America operations sites which successfully implemented QS 9000, ISO 9001 and AS 9100 QM systems.

Automotive and Aerospace

In his role as General Manager at Morgan Polymer Seals (MPS) (and later at TCT Industries) Rolando coordinated all aspects of the company to achieve all goals defined on the business plan. This included successful implementation and certification in ISO/TS16949, ISO 14001 and AS9100. MPS is an automotive supplier which utilizes injection and transfer molding technologies to manufacture custom rubber and sealing solutions for 8 of the largest automotive manufacturers. His accomplishments included a 50% increase in productivity and a 70% reduction in total cycle time by redesigning the production process flow.

In addition, Rolando is bilingual in Spanish and English and is a member of the American Society for Quality.
